TRB is sponsoring the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Systems, Safety Strategies, and Solutions Summit on February 29, 2012, in Washington, D.C.  This will be a one-day workshop reviewing the state of the art in transportation safety in EMS operations. Ongoing research and research needs statements in this area will be reviewed and discussed. This summit is not designed to address issues such as patient care.
