Improved Pedestrian Safety at Signalized Intersections Operating the Flashing Yellow Arrow
The Oregon Transportation Research and Education Consortium has released a report that summarizes research conducted with a driving simulator and mobile eye-tracking equipment to study the effects that opposing traffic, walking direction of pedestrians, and the number of section heads with a flashing yellow arrow have on driver performance.
