Development of Predictive Model for Bridge Deck Cracking: Final Report
The Center for Transportation Research at the University of Texas at Austin has released a report that investigates early-age bridge deck cracking that may lead to costly serviceability issues and the loss of some structural integrity. The research tests the various factors affecting bridge deck cracking, such as mixture proportions, aggregate type and gradation, chemistry of the cements and supplementary cementitious materials used, and the changing temperature of the concrete system.
