Maximizing the Benefits of Transitways in Areas of Concentrated Poverty
The Center for Transportation Studies at the University of Minnesota has released a research brief that assesses how well the Twin Cities transitway system will connect some of the region’s areas of concentrated poverty with more opportunities. This report seeks to identify how well people living in areas of concentrated poverty reach jobs in the Twin Cities region, what their perception is of the overall transportation network, and how planners and policymakers can maximize the benefits of transitways for people living in areas of concentrated poverty.
