2020 Virtual Forum on Sustainability and Emerging Transportation Technology (part 2)

Convened by Transportation Research Board, the 2020 Virtual Forum on Sustainability and Emerging Transportation Technology (part 2) will be held November 5, 2020. The first part is held October 29, 2020. Participants can attend one or both of the online sessions. The November 5 session will focus on Greener Solutions and Transportation Demand Management and follow the schedule below:

11:00 AM ET - Welcome and plenary session: Transformation of Cities through a Mobility-Focus Instead of Vehicle-Focus
11:50 AM ET - break
12:00 PM ET - Three concurrent breakout sessions:

• Achieving the Promise of Energy-Efficient Mobility Systems
• Addressing Traffic Congestion
• The Sustainability of Micro-Mobility

1:15 PM ET - Closing Remarks and Key-Takeaways for the Future


These events will bring together researchers, practitioners, and policy-makers to discuss and debate the intersection of sustainability and emerging transportation technologies with a focus on solutions. The 2021 Sustainability and Emerging Transportation Technology Conference is planned to be in-person in summer 2021.
