TRB Webinar: Challenges of Climate Data and Tools for DOTs' Development and Implementation of Climate Change Plans

TRB conducted a webinar on June 5, 2014, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm ET that explored why and how state departments of transportation and other agencies may improve their data practices in order to enhance their ability to meet and secure federal policies and grants. A certificate for two Professional Development Hours (PDHs) was provided to attendees who registered and attended the webinar as an individual. Adapting to changes brought about by climate in the transportation sector requires that state departments of transportation and other agencies identify the most useful and credible data available. The information and discussion from this webinar may assist in the development of local- and state-level transportation climate change adaption plans and their implementation. Webinar presenters discussed useful data elements, examples of data collection methods and applications, and the need for better understanding of the data that may be used for transportation plans and day-to-day activities.

Professional Development Hour Information
A certificate for two Professional Development Hours (PDHs) will be provided to Professional Engineers (PEs) who register and attend the webinar as an individual. For groups, only the person that registers and attends the session will receive a PDH certificate.
