TRB Straight to Recording for All: Highway Performance Monitoring System: Travel Time Data Processing
TRB released a recording in April 2019 that discusses The National Performance Measure Research Data Set (NPMRDS). The NPMRDS is an offline probe-based travel time data archival that is used for various before and after studies involving travel time changes, and has been incorporated in the Highway Performance Monitoring System (HPMS). This webinar describes a case study approach to examine potential applications of the NPMRDS travel time data to test its quality and reliability. The presenter analyzes corridor-level NPMRDS data in Hawaii using spatial and statistical modeling tools. He also identifies database and analytical tools that may be used to fulfill the HPMS travel time mandate primarily using open source tools.
