National Cooperative Rail Research Program

The National Cooperative Rail Research Program (NCRRP) conducts applied research on problems of interest to freight, intercity passenger, and commuter rail practitioners.

NEWS/HIGHLIGHTS

  • Register here to receive email notification of new NCRRP requests-for-proposals (RFPs).
  • All previously funded NCRRP projects have been completed and are available online. Originally, the NCRRP was reauthorized in the Fixing America's Surface Transportation (FAST) Act; however, no additional funding level was indicated and no funding was appropriated for FY 2016 or FY 2017. Continuation of the NCRRP beyond previously funded projects is contingent on the provision of additional funding for the program.

Information about NCRRP and other TRB activities is available in the TRB E-Newsletter. The NCRRP is managed by the Cooperative Research Programs of the Transportation Research Board.
