Proof of Vaccinations
Save time onsite by using the CLEAR Health Pass app
All attendees are required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination at checkpoints onsite. With the CLEAR Health Pass app, you can pass through checkpoints by just flashing your green pass on the app, and you won’t have to stop to present your vaccination card for manual inspection. See details below. |
What to Expect Onsite:
All attendees must provide proof of vaccination when they arrive onsite, and must at all times display a sticker on their badge indicating that they have provided that proof. Details are as follows:
-
Checkpoints & Stickers: When you arrive onsite, you must go through the checkpoint at the Registration area, to show your proof of vaccination and receive a sticker to indicate that you have done so. The sticker must be displayed on your registration badge throughout the meeting. Security guards may stop anyone who is not displaying the sticker, and require that they immediately go to the checkpoint to provide proof of vaccination.
- If you received your badge by mail: Even if you received your badge via mail, you still must go through the checkpoint to show proof of vaccination and receive a sticker.
- CLEAR Health Pass: You can use the CLEAR Health Pass app to upload your proof of vaccination prior to the meeting. This will enable you to pass through the onsite checkpoint much more quickly, by just showing your green pass on the app. You can use the CLEAR Health Pass only if you have a U.S. CDC vaccination card. For more details, see the section below, labeled “CLEAR Health Pass Instructions.”.
- Alternative to CLEAR Health Pass: If you were vaccinated outside of the United States, don’t have a smartphone, or otherwise are unable or unwilling to use the CLEAR Health Pass app, you must bring your proof of vaccination with you to the meeting. When you reach the checkpoint, you will be directed to a table, where you must present your proof of vaccination and a photo ID for manual inspection.
- Arrive Early: We strongly urge you to arrive at the Registration area and pass through the checkpoint on Saturday, January 8 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to avoid long lines on Sunday morning. The Registration area is located on the street level of the Washington Convention Center.
- Registration Materials: Once you have passed through the checkpoint, received your sticker, and entered the Registration area, you may pick up your badge (if you did not receive it by mail), program book, badge holder, and lanyard. If you already have your badge, go to line #5; if you need to pick up your badge, go to line #1.
CLEAR Health Pass Instructions:
TRB strongly recommends using the CLEAR Health Pass app, which enables you to upload your proof of vaccination prior to the meeting. You then can pass through checkpoints quickly by just flashing the green pass on the app, rather than having to stop to present your vaccination card for manual inspection.
To use the CLEAR Health Pass app, you must have a vaccination card issued by the US. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and a smartphone. If you were vaccinated outside of the United States, don’t have a smartphone, or otherwise are unable or unwilling to use the CLEAR Health Pass app, you must bring your proof of vaccination with you to the meeting and present it along with your photo ID for manual inspection.
