The TRB Annual Meeting program covers all transportation modes, with more than 4,000 presentations in over 650 sessions and workshops addressing topics of interest to all attendees—policy makers, administrators, practitioners, researchers, and representatives of government, industry, and academic institutions. A number of sessions and workshops will address the spotlight theme for 2012: Transportation: Putting Innovation and People to Work.

The Interactive Program is available to assist you in deciding which sessions to attend during the TRB 91st Annual Meeting. You can use the Interactive Program to conduct searches by session title, paper title, keywords, author, and subject area. To view the full Annual Meeting program click on the “Search” button without selecting any Search Criteria. When the list of events appears, click on the “Time” header to sort chronologically. Enter the email address used to register for the Annual Meeting to obtain the meeting room names in your personalized itinerary. Please plan to use the Final Program received onsite or visit the Interactive Program the week of the Annual Meeting to double-check event details, which are subject to change. |

For the most up-to-date information, please refer to the Interactive Program. Numbers after the names refer to sessions; alphanumeric codes indicate chairs or presenters of papers in a committee or subcommittee meeting. Search for Program Presenters using the alphabetical index at the top of the document, the search function, or the document’s bookmarks to find a name and the session, meeting, or event in which the participant is featured.
NEW: An Interactive Exhibits Search is now available to assist you in deciding which exhibitors to visit during the TRB 91st Annual Meeting. Search for exhibiting organizations by name or subject category, select the ones that you want to visit, then print the exhibit hall floor plan.

New and Young Attendees Welcome Session
Sunday, January 22, 2:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Attendees 35 or younger and everyone attending the TRB Annual Meeting for the first time-or for the first time in several years-are invited to this session. Offered are a brief overview of TRB, tips on navigating the Meeting and on networking during the meeting, the role TRB can play in career development, and how to become involved in TRB activities and committees. Refreshments are provided and an opportunity for attendees to meet each other and TRB leaders from similar areas of interest. |

Thomas B. Deen Distinguished Lecture and Presentations of Awards for Outstanding Papers
Monday, January 23, 6:00 p.m. - 7:15 p.m.

“Public Transportation: Today and Tomorrow” is the title of the lecture that William W. Millar will deliver as the recipient of the 2012 Thomas B. Deen Distinguished Lectureship award. Mr. Millar served 15 years as the president of the American Public Transportation Association (APTA).
The Deen Distinguished Lectureship award recognizes the career contributions and achievements of an individual in areas covered by the Boards Technical Activities Division. Honorees present overviews of their technical areas, covering the evolution, status, and prospects for the future.
A copy of the lecture will be included in the TRB Annual Meeting Compendium of Papers available through TRB Annual Meeting Online. |

Young Professionals in Transportation Reception

Chairman's Luncheon

The Chairman's Luncheon program includes the introduction of new Executive Committee members and officers and presentation of TRB’s most prestigious awards. Virginia-based journalist and author Earl Swift will be the featured speaker. Swift will share his perspective on the history of the Interstate highway system—the subject of his new book, The Big Roads: The Untold Story of the Engineers, Visionaries, and Trailblazers Who Created The American Superhighways, released in June 2011.
