TRB conducted a webinar on March 24, 2015, from 1:00pm to 2:30pm ET that explored early initiatives to integrate discrete data publications with traditional scholarly publications by leveraging new and existing repository platforms and services. Webinar presenters reviewed the work flow integration among Purdue University's data repository, the traditional press, and institutional repository.
The adoption of these work flows has led to promising practices for integrating data publishing and dissemination into the research process. Moreover, the implementation of this model has the potential to assist researchers in meeting the requirements of federal funding agencies, while reducing redundancy, ensuring integrity, expanding accessibility, and increasing the return on research investment.
A certificate for 1.5 Professional Development Hours (PDHs) was provided to attendees who registered and attended the webinar as an individual. Contact Reggie Gillum at
RGillum@nas.edu for instructions on receiving a copy of the recorded webinar.
