Water Transportation, Ports, and International Trade
Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board 1820 examines diverse developments in water transportation and international trade in California, Florida, South America, the Netherlands, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. Issues examined include evaluation of the design and operational costs of intermodal rail systems; ways to improve cost-quality features of barge transport; analysis of transportation system access to port areas; the feasibility of linking routes and services between the Great Lakes, Minnesota, and Ontario, Canada; and economic impacts of port capacity investments.
Individual TRRs, which are published on an irregular basis throughout the year, consist of collections of peer-reviewed papers on specific transportation subject areas and modes.
Abstracts of papers that make up this TRR are available through
TRB's Publication Index. In the Series field type "Record & 1820" (without the quotes). After reviewing the abstracts you will need to use your browser's "back" button to return to this screen in order to purchase the publication.
