Transportation Emissions Guidebook: Land Use, Transit, and Travel Demand Management
The Center for Clean Air Policy (CCAP) has released the first part its web-based CCAP Transportation Emissions Guidebook. The guidebook is designed to help users assess the air pollution, energy use, and greenhouse gas emissions benefits of a variety of transportation and land use policies. The guidebook includes policy overviews, success stories, and links to key models and resources. The first part of the guidebook--Land Use, Transit, and Travel Demand--was produced with support from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The second part of the CCAP guidebook, which is being produced with the support from the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Highway Administration, will focus on vehicle technology and fuels and is expected to be released in early 2006.
