Aviation 2007
TRB’s Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board, No. 2007 includes 15 papers that explore logit models to forecast intercity travel demand, passenger market equilibrium for competing airports, air travel consumer protection, assessment of airport productivity, aviation traffic forecasts, modeling joint choice of airline itinerary and fare product, and the European low-cost airline market and prospects for growth. This issue of the TRR also examines advanced modeling for airport performance assessment and capacity management, air traffic control complexity and safety, increasing ultimate capacity of closely spaced parallel runways, using multilateration data in probabilistic analysis of wake vortex hazards for landing aircraft, accelerated practices for construction of airfield concrete pavement, aircraft-based pavement surface roughness assessment, survey data on situation awareness of helicopter pilots, and air cargo terminal design.
Individual TRRs, which are published on an irregular basis throughout the year, consist of collections of peer-reviewed papers on specific transportation subject areas and modes. TRB's TRR Online service allows all visitors to identify papers of interest and review abstracts of those papers. Access to the full papers is available to service subscribers and employees of TRB sponsors. Papers may also be purchased on an individual basis.
Printed copies of TRR Journals may also be purchased on an annual subscription basis. Each year, TRB publishes approximately 45 volumes of the TRR Journal, containing more than 800 papers grouped by subject.
