Transit: Intermodal Transfer Facilities, Rail, Commuter Rail, Light Rail, and Major Activity Center Circulation Systems
TRB’s Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board No. 1930 is a four-parts volume that encompasses such topics as Utah’s connection protection system—the first in the United States—for light rail to bus; the effects of rail transit on transportation performance in major U.S. cities; the differences between British and French light rail strategies; and lessons learned from a light rail pilot project that failed in the Netherlands.
Individual TRR Journals, which are published on an irregular basis throughout the year, consist of collections of peer-reviewed papers on specific transportation subject areas and modes. Abstracts of papers that make up this TRR are available through TRB's Publication Index.
TRR Journals may also be purchased on an annual subscription basis. Each year, TRB publishes approximately 40 volumes of the TRR Journal, containing more than 650 papers grouped by subject.
