Highway Capacity and Quality of Service 2007
TRB’s Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board, No. 2027 includes 14 papers that explore reliability for highway capacity analysis, user perception of service quality of signalized intersections, approach capacity at signalized intersections, the impact of turning vehicles on pedestrian level of service at signalized intersections, approach delay at signalized intersections, relationship of lane width to saturation flow rate on signalized intersection approaches, and headway acceptance of U-turning vehicles at unsignalized intersections. This issue of the TRR also examines the probabilistic analysis of "Highway Capacity Manual" models, driver behavior model of saturation flow, estimating truck equivalencies for freeways, errors in analyses for capacity and timing design of signalized intersections, arrival-based uniform delay model for exclusive protected-permitted left-turn lanes, travel time measurement using toll infrastructure, and freeway bottleneck capacity.
Individual TRRs, which are published on an irregular basis throughout the year, consist of collections of peer-reviewed papers on specific transportation subject areas and modes. TRB's TRR Online service allows all visitors to identify papers of interest and review abstracts of those papers. Access to the full papers is available to service subscribers and employees of TRB sponsors. Papers may also be purchased on an individual basis.
Printed copies of TRR Journals may also be purchased on an annual subscription basis. Each year, TRB publishes approximately 45 volumes of the TRR Journal, containing more than 800 papers grouped by subject.
