Integrating Climate Change into the Transportation Planning Process
The U.S. Federal Highway Administration has released a report that explores the possibilities for integrating climate change considerations into long-range transportation planning at state departments of transportation (DOTs) and metropolitan planning organizations (MPOs). The report examines the experience of a number of DOTs and MPOs that are already incorporating climate change into their transportation planning processes and identifies their successes as well as challenges faced by these agencies.
