Involving Individuals with Visual Impairment in Project Decision-Making: A Survey of Practice
The Minnesota Department of Transportation has released a synthesis report that explores practices for involving persons with visual impairment in transportation facility planning and design. This report identifies lessons learned by other transportation agencies regarding planning for people with visual impairment to use pedestrian travel, transit, and light rail. It also determines how these agencies involve individuals with visual impairment in decision-making about transportation facility features and plans.
