National Academies studying "seasonal effects" of COVID-19 for White House
Given that countries currently experiencing
“summer” climates, such as Australia and Iran, are experiencing rapid
COVID-19 spread, a decrease in cases with increases in humidity and temperature should not be assumed.
The National Academies, of which TRB is a part, has convened a committee of experts to help inform the White House
on critical science and
policy issues related to emerging infectious diseases and other public health threats.
