Developing Employer-Based Behavioral Traffic Safety Programs for Drivers in the Workplace (BTSCRP Web-Only Document 3). Work-related traffic crashes remain particularly challenging to address. However, recent research and practice have shown that instilling an awareness of safety and fostering a corporate safety culture supportive of safety may prevent traffic crashes, reduce their frequency, and reduce their severity.

The TRID database now offers even more for your research needs. Listings from the International Journal of Occupational Safety and Ergonomics and Journal of Planning Education and Research along with 76 reports published by TRB have been added to TRID. 

Ways to Bring Back Bus Ridership

Brian Sherlock, a former Seattle bus driver and current TRB Volunteer, is interviewed about How to Fix the Bus on The Ongoing Transformation, which is a podcast by National Academies magazine Issues in Science and Technology.

Road Drainage Authors to be Awarded at January's Annual Meeting

TRB's Geology and Geotechnical Engineering Section has announced its Section Best Paper Award for 2022, which was presented at the 2022 TRB Annual Meeting, then published in the Transportation Research Record in April. Qualitative Rating System for Drainability of Roadway Base Materials, by William J. Likos, Hyunjun Oh, and Tuncer B. Edil, was peer reviewed and nominated by TRB's Committee on Mechanics and Drainage of Saturated and Unsaturated Geomaterials.
