Trucker Appreciation Week

“Trucking can be a great job with the right foundation, and we need to build that," says TRB volunteer Desiree Ann Wood. Truck operators face parking challenges along with challenges for health, safety, and wellness. In addition, drivers keep up with changing procedures for automated driving systems. Get Involved with ACRP

Share your expertise! Diverse panelists are welcomed for Airport Cooperative Research Program projects on accommodating travelers with wheelchairs or differing cognitive needs, financing for small airports, virtual queuing and augmented reality, weather and energy resiliency, hydrogen-powered aircraft and more. Nominate yourself or a colleague no later than September 18.

Let Us Know Your Design Solution

Send in your Notice of Intent for TRB's ACRP University Design Competition by September 28. You can work on your design with your team and faculty advisor until the final deadline in May. Your Notice of Intent helps us link you to an airport operator and expert assistance. Winning students receive cash prizes and first place winners present their work at the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. 

Tell Your Colleagues What TCRP Can Do

You know firsthand the value TRB's Transit Cooperative Research Program provides to the public transit industry. TCRP Day is an opportunity to create greater awareness of the program, showcase its research in action, and increase the number of transit professionals involved in the program. Hold a brown bag lunch or information table on September 21 as part of the national event. Email Peggy Wilson to volunteer, or with any questions.
