• Director, Cooperative Research Programs. This position reports to the TRB Executive Director and has overall responsibility for the management, efficiency, and success of the division’s research activities. The role oversees the division’s research programs, funding, fiscal management, sponsor and volunteer relations, human resources management, and external communications. The Director’s senior team of Program Officers oversee a 65-member staff in Highway, Transit, Airport, Traffic Safety, and Program Operations.
• Senior Program Officer. This position is responsible for developing and managing highly complex programs or projects in the TRB Technical Activities Division; developing program or project strategy, budget, and staffing requirements; and ensuring the program/project meets its stated objectives.
• Senior Program Officer. This position focuses on projects primarily in TRB's National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) and on the topics of materials science and pavement design, preservation, and maintenance, as well as potentially a wider variety of transportation topics.

Integrating Traffic Incident Management and Connected, Automated Technology Communities: A Guide for Communicating and Connecting (NCHRP Research Report 1104), released this past week by TRB's National Cooperative Highway Research Program, aims to provide the resources to foster active collaboration and connection between CAV developers, TIM, and ERs.

Mapping Out a Bike Network in Texas

A research article from TRB's Transportation Research Record journal examined a statewide network of bicycle tourism trails in Texas and identified gaps and prioritized improvements.
