Demand responsive transportation capacity requires considerations of how many vehicles and service hours are required to accomodate a variety of passenger needs in a full service area, rather than two fixed stations or bus stops. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to DRT capacity, and the differences between service types (paratransit, dial-a-ride, on-demand, and flex) require unique methodology. Don't try to piece it together on your own! Read TRB's TCRP Research Report 262: Transit Capacity and Quality of Service Manual, 4th edition for concepts, strategies, and evaluations to guide DRT capacity calculations.
