SHRP 2 Project Brief: DOT-Utility Coordination: Understanding Key Aspects of the Problem and Opportunities for Improvement

TRB’s second Strategic Highway Research Program (SHRP 2) has released a project brief that summarizes SHRP 2 Renewal project R15, which explored strategies designed to resolve issues that departments of transportation and utility companies face when working together.  The project developed a plan to test and evaluate strategies designed to eliminate or mitigate utility asset relocation delays and overcome institutional barriers for the implementation of these strategies.
