TRB’s SHRP 2 Tuesdays Webinar: Managing Risk in Rapid Renewal Contracts (R09)

As part of the SHRP2 Tuesdays Webinar Series, TRB conducted a webinar on August 20, 2013 from 2:00 p.m.- 3:30 p.m. ET that explored the report Managing Risk in Rapid Renewal Projects, which provides transportation agencies with tools and guidance for quantifying risks and developing a risk management process that is needed to manage all types of project complexities.

This webinar explores a formal risk management process that will help optimize performance for accelerated reconstruction projects, offering practical methods for identifying, assessing, mitigating, allocating, and monitoring risk. The tools that this project provides include case studies, a risk and action checklist, implementation guidance, and a training course.

  • Part 3: State of Practice in the transportation industry to apply risk management at the project and program levels
  • Part 4: Benefits and impacts of the products and tools for practice from Managing Risk on Rapid Renewal Contracts (R09)
  • Part 5: Implementation strategies and opportunities
  • Part 6: Question and Answer session
The first 60 minutes of the webinar is for presentations and the final 30 minutes is reserved for audience questions.
