Performance Measurement Committee: ABC30
TRB’s Performance Measurement Committee is concerned with the use of performance measurement in a broad range of transportation applications. The committee spans the range of performance measurement in transportation through its membership and joint activities with committees across the TRB spectrum. The committee provides a forum for the exchange of ideas, sharing experience, developing research topics and statements, developing and disseminating resource material.
The approximately 200 standing committees of TRB's Technical Activities Division are organized into 11 Groups. Six of the Groups, which house some 150 committees, address various functional components of transportation, with a major focus on highways. Each of the remaining five Groups concentrate primarily on a specific mode such as public transportation, rail, marine, aviation, and freight systems. The combined functional and modal structure creates the synergy among the groups to make it possible for TRB's Technical Activities Division Committees to address a wide variety of specific and cross-cutting transportation research issues.
