FE-ANN Based Modeling of 3D Simple Reinforced Concrete Girders for Objective Structural Health Evaluation
The Institute for Transportation at Iowa State University has released a report that examines the artificial neural network (ANN) approach to structural health monitoring that may augment visual inspection methods by developing a crack-induced damage quantification model for reinforced concrete bridge girders. The research develops a touch-enabled user interface to allow the ANN models to be utilized for on-site damage evaluations.
