COVID-19 impacts on the health of communities of color

Supporting healthier lives and providing access to healthcare are among the transportation connections discussed on a new website from the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine.

Conversations on COVID-19: Impacts on Communities of Color includes conversations with experts on a variety of topics related to minority health and COVID-19, as well as information and resources from the National Academies on topics related to health equity.

While much is still unknown about the virus causing the current pandemic, according to data from the CDC, we do know that certain populations—African-Americans, Hispanic Americans, and the elderly, to name a few—are bearing the brunt of infections and deaths.
