Incorporating Shock Events into Aviation Demand Forecasting and Airport Planning
The COVID-19 pandemic has made clear the vulnerability of aviation and other industries to shock events. The webinar will provide an overview of shock events and their impacts to airports. The webinar will present a methodology to help airport operators identify relevant shock events, understand their potential impact on airport business, and develop strategies to better withstand and respond to them. Airport Curbside and Terminal Area Roadway Operations: New Analysis and Strategies
The operating characteristics of airport terminal area roadways and curbsides differ from those of non-airport roadways because of the high proportion of motorists who are unfamiliar with the airport. Based on ACRP Research Report 266: Airport Curbside and Terminal Area Roadway Operations: New Analysis and Strategies, this webinar is intended to assist airport operators, planners, consultants, and individuals tasked with analyzing airport terminal area roadway and curbside operations and to select strategies to mitigate congestion.
